In a record-breaking annual convention attended by Maribel Rodriguez, Senior Vice President of WTTC, the council strengthened ties with Destinations International, representing over 800 destination organizations worldwide. This reinforces WTTC’s commitment to working with industry partners to support destination management and tourism growth, aiming for a more resilient global sector.

Guevara also congratulated Saadia Zahidi on her historic appointment as Director General of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), marking a new era of female leadership in the sector and emphasizing the importance of aviation for the Travel & Tourism industry.
